Ads stay out of your game
Sudoku Owl is free and paid for by a few ads. They follow strict rules.
- No ads while a puzzle is on the screen.
- A full-screen ad can appear only after a finished game: never in your first three games, and not within three minutes of the last one.
- Videos are always your choice: a second chance, an extra hint or a past daily puzzle.
- A one-time purchase of Remove ads or Premium turns off the ads between games.
Your games stay on your phone
- No account. Signing in to Google Play Games for leaderboards is optional.
- Settings, saved games and statistics live only on your device.
- Anonymous usage and crash reports help us fix bugs. In the EU and UK, you choose how ads use your data.
Questions
Is Sudoku Owl free?
Yes. All 20,000 puzzles and the daily challenge are free. Optional one-time purchases remove the ads between games (Remove ads), unlock four more board themes (Theme pack), or do both and open the daily archive without ads (Premium).
Does it need an internet connection?
No. The puzzles come with the app and every game works offline. The internet is used only for ads, purchases and anonymous reports.
How does the daily challenge work?
Each day has one puzzle, the same for every player. Difficulty follows the day of the week, from an easy Monday to a diabolical Sunday. Days from the last 12 months can be replayed from the calendar.
What happens after three mistakes?
With mistake checking on, the third mistake ends the game. You can watch a short video for a second chance, or turn the limit off in Settings.
Will my purchases move to a new phone?
Yes. The app restores purchases from Google Play or the App Store every time it starts, as long as you use the same store account.
Which languages does it speak?
English, Türkçe, العربية, Deutsch, Français, Español, Português (Brasil), 日本語 and Bahasa Indonesia. It follows your phone's language, and you can change it in Settings.
